Last week my little Molly Mouse turned 3! The past three years have flown by and I count myself lucky to have such a sweet loving little dog. I know she obviously doesn’t understand the idea of a birthday but she’s as much part of the family as anyone else, so I wanted her to feel extra special on her big day. In true dog mum fashion I took her out for the day to her favourite place and she had plenty of cards and gifts. Like most pampered dogs she already has everything she could want or need, and due to her small size (hence the nickname Mouse) I find it difficult buying clothes and accessories small enough in regular pet shops. What I normally find myself doing is sourcing the items myself through my online Boutique, or buying items made for kittens or rabbits. If you have the same problem with a super tiny dog or are stuck for ideas this year, then read on.
John Paul by Paul Mitchell Pet Shampoo and Oatmeal Conditioning Spray both £12.99 here. I’ve been impressed by the quality of Paul Mitchell products on my own hair, so I thought Molly’s coat would take well to the pet version – plus having matching shampoo is too cute!
Frill Sleeve Sweater. Available from Indigo and Mouse £19.99 here. Even though we are coming into summer, Molly still gets chilly in the evenings so it’s always a good idea to have a light sweater in the summer months. I chose the grey version as it looks super cute against her black fur. She loves wearing this as it’s so lightweight and I love the frill detailing and the striped pattern.
Jelly Cat Rabbit Toy £9.50 here. I saw this and immediately thought it was the right size for Molly and then realised it’s actually a baby rattle – which actually makes a great change from the usual squeaky toys she plays with!
We’re in the process of moving house, so I had to stop myself from buying too much this year or I’d end up with a separate removal van just for the girls’ things! I had my eye on a beautiful blanket, but thought it could wait until after the move as we haven’t decided on decor yet. I’d love to hear from you if you have any suggestions for next year, or if you have the same problem finding gifts for your pet.
Love, Sarah xx
